Law firm to expand Southpointe office

CANONSBURG - West Virginia law firm Steptoe & Johnson PLLC said Monday it is expanding its Southpointe office to meet the growing needs of its Pennsylvania clients. The firm said it is remodeling its current location to house five new attorneys plus a veteran litigator relocating from its Morgantown, W.Va., office.

The firm said in a news release its expansion comes as energy producers in the region continue to tap the resources of the Marcellus and Utica shales. Its Southpointe office currently has 13 attorneys practicing in energy, labor and employment, intellectual property, real estate and business transactions.

"When completed, the renovations will more than double the size of the current office," says Kristian White, Southpointe office managing member, who said the new attorneys will focus their practices in the area of energy law.

In addition to the new attorneys, Frank J. Stanek has also moved his practice to Southpointe to increase the firm's toxic tort and litigation capabilities in the commonwealth. He has represented clients in the energy production, manufacturing and protective equipment sectors faced with civil litigation.
